Apparently this is one of the best selling pinot noir's in the country, and if that's true then that says dire things about the american wine consumer. Region is just 'California'. The less specific a wine is on year, region, grape, etc, I suspect its because they're trying to hide something, this means they can get the reject grapes from all over the state for this foul brew.

Nose is chocolate, raisin, whiff of berry (generic). Taste is coffee, rasberry, and an unpleasant aftertaste. Sweet in a very syrupy way. This wine is 14.5% so there shouldn't be much sugar left, which gives a very artificial feel. Tastes gross, and tasted even grosser after sitting for a while.

I don't have much else to say except this wine is terrible. My baseline for wine is costco boxed cabernet, which despite being not very good, I still find myself drinking quite often, because I like to be able to have some wine without opening a whole bottle. This is far worse than that. I ended up pouring out the last 1/5th or so because I just couldn't bring myself to have anymore. To be fair I am picky about pinot noir in general, and find many of them distateful, but this is beyong the pale.

You could get a better wine than this for 15 dollars, and to be frank you could get a better wine than this for under 10$. I am not sure how this one got to me, I'd seen the logo around before but I don't remember buying it, maybe a gift? Anyway, I don't recommend. I was really dissapointed I wasted such a lovely camembert on this junk.
