Nose is ruby grapefruit, pear.

Light carbonation, more grapefruit. Dry, but still with a little sweetness (not like Brut champagne), orange marmalade finish.

Love this wine, and I love wines from Germany and Austria, though they're sadly underrepresented here. Could not find the type of grapes on the bottle, but the internet says pinot noir.

I think this is perfect as a frizzante, sometimes intense carbonation can make the wine a little too aggressive, you don't get a chance to taste it since so many bubbles are assaulting your tongue. It's sweeter than you'd expect for a dry wine, but in a good way, its never cloying even after a few glasses. I bought most of a case for a party and it was a real crowd pleaser.

I've had a few bottles from the Meinklang winery and they've all been good. They're not natural wine, but they are doing some interesting things around farming, and mixed use agriculture. Always excited to try them when I see them.

Anyway, great wine for friends/family hanging out!
